Jet's Career into
Midwifery
From Cyprus to a UK midwifery degree
I chose to study with Mediprospects after seeing consistent recommendations across the Facebook groups I'm part of for people interested in midwifery. With other providers I'd seen mixed reviews — but with Mediprospects, I hadn't seen anything negative. After completing the course myself, I now recommend them to everyone.
I needed an online course because I've been living in Cyprus with my husband, who is in the military. Attending an in-person college wasn't an option, but I didn't want to study completely on my own — I needed structure and discipline that felt like actually attending lessons. The live online classes gave me exactly that: a real classroom where I could ask questions, take part, and stay engaged.
Every lesson was recorded, so I could revisit anything at any time. We had access to PowerPoints, lesson materials, recordings explaining assignments step by step, and tutors who were always available. Everything was clearly explained, including exactly what was needed for each assignment.

Midwifery is a competitive course, so I was aiming high. With the support from the tutors I was able to achieve all distinctions. They really encourage you to aim high — they don't just focus on passing, they guide you towards achieving distinctions, with clear assessment criteria so you know exactly what's required.
There was a lot of support when it came to applying for university too. We had a whole unit dedicated to personal statements with detailed feedback. I was fortunate to receive an offer from my first-choice university during my interview, and I'll be starting my midwifery degree in September.
It had been over 17 years since I was last in education, so going back felt daunting. This course gave me the confidence I needed and prepared me for what's ahead. I've also made friends for life — one of the people I studied with will be on the same university course as me. The tutors are friendly, approachable, and genuinely want you to succeed.
